With River Oaks Dance Company
The Leap’n’Learn program is designed to provide boys and girls with a strong foundation of dance and movement focusing on flexibility, balance, rhythm, musicality and spacial awareness in a fun, positive and imaginative environment.
Boys and girls have fun working the areas of floor tumbling, balance beam and mini-trampoline. Classes mix in health, fitness and well-being information with fun, games and prizes.
Thursdays, September 6 – December 13 2:40 – 3:25 p.m., Older 3s, preK and kindergarten 3:30 – 4:15 p.m., PreK, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades 4:15 – 5:05 p.m., 3rd, 4th, 5th grades and up
FEE: $290 (or $75 per month)
Soccer Shots is a uniquely designed program that will introduce soccer to your child in a fun, safe, and controlled environment. Each week the 30-minute sessions will offer basic soccer skills, fun games, competitions and prizes to your child. The program also emphasizes character-forming lessons such as respect, honesty, sharing, teamwork, patience and encouragement.
Ages 3 – 5
Mondays, September 10 – December 3 (no class October 15 and November 19) 2:45 – 3:30 p.m.
Fridays, September 14 – December 7 (no class October 19 and November 23) 2:45 – 3:30 p.m.
Children will have fun with a wide range of activities, including Tae Kwon Do, Bo and Nunchucks, as well as other fun games. The fee does not include the uniform, which is purchased from instructor.
Wednesdays, September 5 – December 5 (no class October 17 and November 21) 2:45 – 3:15 p.m., Little Dragons (3 – 4 years) 3:30 – 4:15 p.m., Little Warriors (5 – 6 years) 4:20 – 5:05 p.m., Ninja Warriors (5 years and up)
Classes are taught by Linda Engelland who has a BS in education from The University of Texas and is an AMS Montessori certified teacher. She has taught young children for many years and has very successfully taught woodworking for young children for more than 20 years.
Ages 4 1/4 – 6
Wednesdays, September 19 – December 5 (no class October 17 and November 21) 1:10 – 2:10 p.m. 2:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Let’s Go Snowboarding Woodshop with Linda Engelland
No experience is necessary for this winter woodworking adventure. Wear a winter hat just for fun! We will build a miniature snowboard and snowboarder (4″ long x 2″ high) using basic hand tools, and then race them down a laminated slope in the classroom for fun.

Pre-piano music classes are especially designed to prepare children to learn the keyboard. These future musicians will learn rhythm, notes on the keyboard and fingering. The class incorporates the use of musical games and “ just fun with the piano”.
Classes are available for children 3½ – 6 years of age.
