Choristers and Youth Choir
St. Martin’s Choristers
The Choristers, first through fifth grade, rehearse and attend worship at the Family Table service on a weekly basis where they help lead congregational singing. They perform anthems in the Family service at 9:15 a.m., and they sing in the 9 a.m. worship service in the Church at various times throughout the year. The Choristers’ mission is to make joyful, beautiful music while teaching children that they hold a very special place in the worship at St. Martin’s.
St. Martin’s Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is for students in sixth through twelfth grade and rehearses 10:15-11 a.m. each Sunday. At various times throughout the year, the Youth Choir takes part in the 11:15 a.m. worship service and sings with the Parish Choir. The mission of the Youth Choir is to musically engage older singers while preparing them to become active, contributing members of our Parish. The focus of the rehearsal is on developing young voices and musicianship skills through the preparation of sacred repertoire. Part of their development is to serve as leaders and mentors to the Choristers by singing with them and for them on a monthly basis.
