Curate
The Rev. Gregory W. Cross
The Rev. Gregory Cross joined St. Martin’s as a Curate in July 2024. He was ordained as a Deacon on June 15, 2024, and subsequently ordained to the priesthood at St. Martin’s on Feb. 12, 2025, by Bishop Hector Monterroso, the Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Texas.
Cross is no stranger to St. Martin’s, having served as a seminarian intern during the summer months of 2022 and 2023 while completing his clinical pastoral education at Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. He recently received a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary. While attending, he served as the student body treasurer, student representative to the Endowment committee of the board of trustees and head bell chimer.
Cross graduated in 2020 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in history. He participated in student government functions and the Episcopal Student Center, serving as Senior and Junior Warden before entering the discernment process for the priesthood. Originally from East Tennessee, his family moved to the Austin area in 2013.
He and his wife, Faith Ann — who were married in June 2023 — enjoy reading, watching Texas A&M sports and traveling.
