This fall, St. Martin’s will offer a series of creative workshops on writing poetry led by Dr. Matthew Boyleston.

Dr. Boyleston is a professor of English and Writing at Houston Christian University and the author of a book of poems, “Viewed from the Keel of a Canoe” published by Educe Press in 2016. Dr. Boyleston will provide prompts and exercises to help participants write original poetry and give tips from his experience as a published poet. Participants will share their poetry in a workshop format, receive positive feedback, revise their poems based on critiques and read wonderful, contemporary poems. No previous experience in creative writing is necessary to join the workshop.
