Weddings at
St. Martin's

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! We are delighted that you want to celebrate your wedding at St. Martin’s.

The anticipation of a wedding is a delightful and meaningful time. The focus is on the future, a new kind of future for the couple, their families and their extended families. As couples prepare for their wedding, St. Martin’s aims to help and lend support through Allie Hippard, who plans the weddings on Campus.

To be married at St. Martin’s, the bride or groom (or either of the couple’s parents) must be active members in good standing, which means baptized, confirmed in the Episcopal Church, participate in stewardship by maintaining a pledge and attend worship services at the Church regularly.

For more information regarding weddings in the Episcopal Church, please visit the wedding page on the Diocesan website.

Marriage Preparation Class

The Marriage Preparation Class is required for all who desire to be married at St. Martin’s. The half-day class focuses on the theological and practical aspects of Holy Matrimony between a betrothed bride and groom or for those considering marriage.

It is a chance for the Church to help equip and encourage couples as they prepare for their life together. Couples do not need to be members of St. Martin’s to attend the class, which is designed for those who have never been married. If you are planning to have your ceremony at St. Martin’s and have been previously married, please contact Allie Hippard for special counseling requirements. The Marriage Preparation Class is offered three to four times a year.
